 In conjunction with Scouting Ireland's new ONE programme Fota Scout Centre is delighted to offer training from Stage 1 to Stage 3 in three of the core Adventure Skills.These course are open to Rovers and Leaders only. On Saturday 3rd March 2012 three courses will be held at the Centre covering Backwoods, Camping and Pioneering. These courses are ideal for new scouters or for those wanting to brush up their skills. Each course will run from 09:30 to 17:00 and numbers are limited to 20 per course with a minimum of 6 required to run. Each scouter can only register for one of the Skills and will spend the Day on either Camping, Backwoods or Pioneering. The cost of the days training is 10 euro (payable on the day). You bring your own sandwiches and we will supply tea/coffee/soup. If you are travelling a distance, you can stay in the Cottage or Camp at normal rates. Please note that as of 18/1/12 the Backwoods course has reached capacity and will not be offered as a choice to new applicants on the form.  |
